I bought this to hook up my linux computer to the internet and saw that others had said this was one that worked automatically, and they weren't lying, it was quick and easy and gets a great signal in my house. It comes with an extension usb cord, so you can put it a little higher, but I wish it came with a stand for it, but that's not a big issue, just cosmetic. Great product, I recommend it.

This works great with Linux/ubuntu. I receive DSL from my neighbor`s house 650 feet away. Don`t load the cd, just plug it in!!

The best wireless USB adapter dongle there is. Be **SURE** to get ONLY hardware revision V2 - this is clearly labeled on the back. WAY overpriced here. Check out B1.c2 (1=uy 2=om) to get a fair deal. NO RETAILER will ever tell you what hardware revision they are offering. That's very, very sad. ZyXEL is now manufacturing only the V2 model.

not for vista

Though the adapter is pretty good with windows xp, it is not for vista. I suggest ZyxelG-220 v 2.2 for those who are using windows vista. v2.2 works pretty good with vista. If you are a vista user don't think to buy the G-220, because i tried all the ways with many softwares to connect to vista. It is simply waste of time.

I have the ZyXEL 550 wireless router - excellent router. So I bought this for my XP box. Works fine.
I just bought a Vista box and ZyXEL has not, and apparently won't be creating drivers for Vista for this adapter.
I think ZyXEL is a good company. The router I mentioned is far better than the Linksys wireless I used to have.
I just think it's a bad decision on their part not to provide a Vista driver on a device that was sold AFTER Vista was released. Now I get to buy another adapter.
